Car Rental Companies Reap Benefits of Increasing Business Travel
With the recession at bay, large car rental companies like Hertz, Beverly Hills Rent-A-Car and Avis are seeing growing revenues again. The three-year high recorded by the car rental industry in 2010 of 750 on a 1,000-point scale, compared to 733 in 2009, is attributed to growing business travel. And this growth is expected to continue through 2011.
Promising times have also led car rental companies Hertz and Beverly Hills Rent-A-Car to draw up a partnership providing high-end Hertz customers with luxury car rental services of Beverly Hills Rent-A-Car. Hertz customers will now be able to travel in luxury vehicles like the Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche Panamera and Rolls Royce Ghost at car rental rates that will be relatively flat and not pinch their pockets.
